Through a strategic challenge conducted in collaboration with Christian Dior Couture, fifth-year students experienced first-hand the real demands of brand strategy in the world of luxury.

In a sector where excellence, desirability, and brand consistency are absolute imperatives, training in luxury communication cannot be limited to theoretical learning. In December, fifth-year students from the Specialized MBA in Luxury Communication & Strategies and Communication in Fashion Industries took on a challenge of international scope: a battle designed in collaboration with Christian Dior Couture. A demanding brief mobilizing strategic vision, creative excellence, and mastery of luxury codes, in line with the standards of an iconic House.

The EFAP x Dior battle immersed students in a context very close to that of an agency consultation, placing them face-to-face with the same requirements as luxury communication professionals. Based on a real brief designed by Christian Dior Couture, the teams had to develop a complete strategic recommendation that was rigorous, creative, and perfectly aligned with the House’s DNA.

This work required a deep understanding of Dior’s codes and heritage, where every creative and strategic choice had to respect the history, excellence, and desirability specific to a leading couture House. Students conducted an in-depth brand strategy reflection, integrating image challenges, international consistency, and positioning in highly competitive markets.

They also worked on the relevant activation of digital and social platforms, taking into account usage, audience expectations, and the specific standards of luxury communication. The result was a strong and coherent creative vision, capable of enhancing the brand universe while meeting precise strategic objectives.

This professional immersion enabled students to:

  • Work as closely as possible with the strategic challenges of an iconic couture House,

  • Develop a global brand vision on an international scale, integrating strategy, content, and platforms,

  • Present, argue, and defend their recommendations before luxury industry professionals in a demanding and formative setting.

 

A victory rewarding strategic excellence and collective intelligence

One student team stood out in particular by winning the Dior Battle, recognizing the quality and relevance of the work carried out throughout the project. This achievement highlights both the strength of the strategic thinking, the accuracy of the creative choices, and the students’ ability to work collectively on a high-stakes luxury communication challenge.
