Communication apprenticeship: train at EFAP from your fourth year onward

The apprenticeship program at EFAP enables students to combine a communication degree with hands-on professional experience in a company. Available from the fourth year onward, across our 10 campuses in France, it allows students to earn a recognized diploma while gaining concrete, paid work experience. A format particularly well suited to careers in communication, marketing, media and event management.

Why choose a communication apprenticeship?

In communication, marketing and media careers, professional experience is not just an advantage: it is a key factor in employability. Recruiters prioritize candidates who are immediately operational, capable of managing a digital campaign, coordinating an event, handling a social media strategy or overseeing a marketing plan from day one.

A communication apprenticeship directly addresses this requirement. It allows students to connect academic knowledge with real-world practice by working on concrete projects for real companies.

At EFAP, apprenticeships are part of a long-standing professional-oriented teaching approach. The objective is clear: enable students to graduate with professional expertise, long-term experience and a network they can activate immediately.

How does the apprenticeship program work at EFAP?

The apprenticeship program at EFAP is available from the fourth year onward and offered across all campuses. It follows a progressive structure: after three years dedicated to the fundamentals of communication and marketing, students enter a strengthened professionalization phase. The apprenticeship pathway is structured in two stages.

Two possible pathways from the fourth year

From the fourth year onward, EFAP offers:

>> Option 1: The General Fourth Year Apprenticeship (all campuses)

The general fourth year apprenticeship track (apprenticeship / work-study internship) allows students to deepen their strategic and operational communication skills before specializing in the fifth year.

The program strengthens in particular:

  • Communication and brand strategy
  • Digital marketing
  • Project management

This pathway is particularly suited to students who wish to consolidate their foundations while gaining significant professional experience. It prepares students for entry into the fifth-year Specialized MBA, where they can refine their professional positioning (Event Management, Luxury, Sport Business, Advertising, Digital, AI & Data, etc.).

What happens after the fourth year?

After the fourth year, students continue into the fifth year with one of the Specialized MBA programs offered by EFAP (more than 20 specializations, including 9 available in apprenticeship format). The fifth year allows students to develop strong sector expertise and transform their experience into a clear professional positioning.

>> Option 2: The MBA in Digital Marketing & Business (Paris only)

In Paris, students can choose to join the MBA in Digital Marketing & Business from the fourth year onward, also in apprenticeship format. This program offers a more directly specialized approach, focused on digital performance and business development challenges.

It focuses in particular on:

  • Digital acquisition and performance strategies
  • KPI monitoring and data marketing
  • E-commerce and growth marketing
  • Business development
  • Digital transformation strategies

What happens after the fourth year?

Students then continue into the fifth year of the Specialized MBA in Digital Marketing & Business.

🎯 Comprehensive support to succeed in your apprenticeship

At EFAP, apprenticeships are not based solely on a corporate network; they rely on structured support at every stage. From the start of your search, you benefit from a dedicated contact person who helps define your project, target companies and monitor your applications.

  • E-learning workshops to structure your profile, optimize your CV and prepare for interviews
  • Monthly collective workshops to answer all your questions about apprenticeships

EFAP also relies on a network of 30,000 partner companies, offering a large volume of opportunities across communication, marketing and media sectors.

Once you secure a company, support continues with personalized guidance throughout the contractual process to ensure your administrative procedures are fully secured. Exclusive recruitment events, both online and on campus, also allow direct interaction with partner companies.
