Nausica Baciu Reflects on Her Career and Her Years at EFAP

Q: Hello Nausica, what was your background before joining EFAP?

A: Before joining EFAP, I lived in Romania. I earned a teaching qualification in Bacău and completed two years of university studies in communications and journalism in Iași, a French-speaking city in Romania.

Q: Why did you choose EFAP to study communications?

A: I worked as a receptionist for the luxury beauty house Carita. During that time, I had the opportunity to meet journalist Laurence Ferrari, whose respect for others, charisma and knowledge made a lasting impression on me.

While talking with her, I discovered that she had graduated from EFAP Lyon. Her career inspired me, and I decided to take the entrance exam to join EFAP myself.

Q: Can you tell us about your professional journey after graduating from EFAP?

A: After EFAP, I joined FORCE 4, an agency specializing in communications, press relations, public relations and event management, particularly in the wine and lifestyle sectors.

I worked on projects for the LVMH Group. I have always been passionate about the French art of living, fashion, craftsmanship, champagne...

Then, an assistant stylist position became available within the agency. It was the perfect opportunity to discover the six business sectors of the LVMH Group, while also getting involved in organizing exhibitions and selecting exclusive brands. It was an incredible world to be part of!

Q: What are your current activities in communications and the luxury industry?

A: Today, I mainly work between Paris, Cannes and Monaco.

I support brands and designers, and advise extraordinary personalities. Most of my assignments are confidential.

In 2018, I was appointed Partnerships Delegate for the Tourist Information and Retailers' Association of Paris's 16th arrondissement. I remain a board member, and it is a role that is very close to my heart.

We regularly work alongside artisans and recipients of the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France distinction. We also organize events such as Christmas dinners for seniors, pétanque tournaments, fundraising activities for the Téléthon and treasure hunts for children.

Through my association, Rose Eclectic, I regularly organize events to promote the fundamental values of artistic creation, the art of living and craftsmanship.

Q: Could you tell us more about Rose Eclectic, the association you founded?

A: This association was created to showcase artisanal craftsmanship and artistic talent, while also providing practical support to brands.

Its mission focuses on cultural diplomacy and the promotion of French and international heritage.

We also offer workshops and short training programs.

Q: How did your communications education at EFAP help you bring your projects to life?

A: Every subject I studied at EFAP provided valuable knowledge and practical skills that helped me enter the professional world.

The case studies, now known as Battles, allowed me to work on developing communications strategies for real clients.

Internships opened up incredible opportunities and gave us access to careers in art and culture, as well as prestigious French silversmithing houses such as Christofle.

Q: What are your fondest memories of your years at EFAP?

A: I particularly remember the team spirit during case studies, the positive atmosphere in class and the friendships we formed.

I also remember Frédéric Kaiser receiving the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France title during my final internship at Christofle.

Another unforgettable moment was our graduation ceremony at an incredible venue: the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.

And of course, my internship with the protocol team at the Cannes Film Festival, which marked the beginning of my journey towards fulfilling my dream of living on the French Riviera.

Q: Looking back today, how do you feel about your career and your connection with EFAP?

A: I am incredibly proud to belong to the "EFAP Family". The bond is unbreakable.

Thanks to the Alumni network, I have been able to reconnect with other EFAP graduates. Being able to count on their support and invitations to various networking events is invaluable.

The qualities, talents and expertise of our graduates are recognized across many industries, both in France and internationally.
