How to study communication in Miami with EFAP?
A creative and cosmopolitan city, Miami is now one of the most dynamic hubs for the communication, design and advertising industries. Thanks to its international program, the EFAP School of Communication allows students to experience an immersive journey at the heart of this creative ecosystem.
An immersion in one of the most dynamic creative hubs
The EFAP Miami campus is located in the heart of Wynwood, one of the city’s most creative neighborhoods. Known worldwide for its street-art murals, contemporary art galleries and design studios, this artistic district is a true source of inspiration for communication students.
The campus is hosted within
Miami Ad School, a globally recognized institution in the fields of advertising, design and brand content.
Beyond the classroom, students also discover the American market through professional meetings and agency visits. For example, they had the opportunity to visit the GUT agency, known for its award-winning creative campaigns for major brands.
This experience allows students to gain a concrete understanding of the codes and culture of the American market.
“Beyond the classes, we also have the chance to visit agencies and discover the American mindset. It helps us understand their way of working and draw inspiration from it to improve our skills once we return to France,” explains Camille, a fourth-year student in the EFAP International Program.
An academic experience focused on international communication
As part of the EFAP International Program, students can complete part of their studies in Miami in order to enrich their academic journey with an international experience. Courses are taught entirely in English and combine theory, creative projects and case studies inspired by the American market.
“It’s important as a student to professionalize your English. We’re used to speaking conversational English, but here we really use technical terms—the ones we may need in a professional environment if we work with international agencies,” Camille emphasizes.
Students work on topics such as advertising creation, brand strategy, digital storytelling and media relations. Courses are taught by professionals currently working in the creative industries, giving students a concrete view of industry practices.
“The courses complement each other while exploring very different aspects of communication. Seeing how messages can be communicated differently than in France is truly fascinating,” adds Camille.
