EFAP at the Heart of Séries Mania 2025
The 2025 edition of the Séries Mania Festival broke all records: 108,000 festivalgoers, 30,000 visitors for the Forever 90’s exhibition, and 4,500 participants in the Séries Mania Bus Tour. For students of the EFAP School of Communication, this 15th edition was a true immersion in the heart of an international festival, notably through internships and volunteer experiences.
As every year, the EFAP School of Communication partnered with the international Séries Mania Festival, a must-attend event for the audiovisual and TV series industry in Lille. Students experienced the event from the inside through internships and volunteer missions related to the festival’s organization, communication activities and guest reception.
Some students from the communication school completed internships within the press or digital teams, while others volunteered at festival venues, welcoming visitors or assisting technical teams. All of them had the opportunity to put their skills into practice, gain professional experience and build valuable connections in an exciting industry.
Another highlight of the partnership was the EFAP & ICART Favorite Award Program – ICART, the School of Cultural Management and the Art Market. This year, seven students watched a selection of international series around the theme "Family" to choose their favorite show. The winner was Hal & Harper, an American comedy-drama series.
“Through this program, we not only discovered new works but also learned to develop a more critical and nuanced perspective on how family relationships are portrayed on screen.”
Students from the communication school were therefore able to explore critical analysis, discover new productions and confront their perspectives as part of a demanding jury.

A Launchpad for the Future
Séries Mania is also an outstanding professional showcase. By being involved in the organization of the festival, EFAP School of Communication students immersed themselves in the behind-the-scenes of an international event and built valuable connections with professionals from the audiovisual and communication industries.
For EFAP, this partnership with the festival is fully aligned with its experiential learning approach, where theory and practice come together as closely as possible to real-world conditions. The 2025 edition once again proved it: students leave with unforgettable memories, new skills and the desire to promote audiovisual creativity.
