EFAP is not eligible for CROUS scholarships. However, the school has always supported students and their families to help finance tuition fees.

Special financing

There are a number of financing options available to you as a professional.

For private-sector employees

CIF

The Congé Individuel de Formation (CIF) (Individual Training Leave) is a form of leave allowing employees to take time off from their job to undergo training in order to gain qualifications, progress or retrain. CIF is subject to certain conditions. It is granted by the employer following authorization of absence. The employee is paid for the duration of the theoretical training and part of the on-the-job training period.

Training costs are partly covered by the employer's OPCA (Organisme Paritaire Collecteur agréé, or Joint Registered Collection Agencies) or FONGECIF (Fonds de Gestion des CIF, or Fund for the Management of Individual Training Leave).

There are three types of CIF :

• CIF CDI for employees with permanent contracts
• CIF CDI outside working hours (particularly for people wishing to follow the part-time program)
• CIF CDD for people with at least 24 months' salaried employment over the last five years, including at least four months on fixed-term contracts

Corporate financing

Financing for continuing professional training. All companies with employees are required to contribute to professional training, the amount of which depends on the number of employees and the total payroll.

 

For job seekers

AREF

If the job seeker is receiving the Allocation d'Aide au Retour à l'Emploi (Assistance in Returning to Work Subsidy)and is following a training course prescribed by Pôle Emploi, he or she can claim the Assistance in Returning to Work Training as part of his or her personalized project for access to employment.
