The Master of Arts in Communication Arts offers a unique approach that combines theoretical principles of research, aesthetic design, cultural studies, and hands-on production techniques across a variety of both traditional and non-traditional media. Students have the opportunity to create a degree program that is tailored to their academic interests and career goals through several areas of specialization.

Students have to earn 34 US credits in one year (3 semesters):
> Fall semester: from September to December
> Spring semester: from January to May
> Summer semester: from the end of May to the end of July
International applicants must provide evidence of English proficiency. They must achieve a minimum of 80 (Internet based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
“Electives” chosen in their areas of specialization:
Students will earn two diplomas: The Master of Arts in Communication from NYIT and the Master 2 from EFAP.
Upon completion of their American degree, students are legally authorized to work in the US in their related field for a year. EFAP New York assists students in the application for the Optional Practical Training (OPT).
